Magnifique Paris, the Incredible Louvre and the Smiling Mona Lisa

Some people hate Paris because it is overcrowded and French people don’t want to speak English.

But I don’t agree. Why, then, would Paris be one of the most visited cities in the world?

It is a perennial city with so much style and charisma, that other cities would sell their souls to have it.

I have visited many cities that are great and wonderful, but something is missing from them.

When I first came to Paris I decided to find accomodations near the main traffic, so I decided to book my room near Gare de Lyon, a station that was built for the World Exposition of 1900.

The second reason why I decided to stay near Gare de Lyon was the fact that I am a big fan of TGV, and this station serves high-speed TGV trains to southern and eastern France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Italy.

The Gare de Lyon Metro Station is also close to them all.

Also, surrounding the station are plenty of bistros, cafes, and also some Lebanese and Chinese restaurants.

As a big kid now, I’ve also decided to visit Disneyland, and I also planned to visit Asterix and Obelix Parks. But, I had no time afterwards because there so much to do in the French capital.

I would highly recommend you avoid visiting Disneyland on weekends, but even during the main season, it is often crowded during the week.

It is quite expensive. Some people prefer to stay close to the entrance, but I wanted to visit more places, so I opted to visit Gare de Lyon instead.

I love walking. Every time I walk around on foot, I learn something new or see interesting things.

I’ve always wanted to see the Louvre because it’s the Biggest Tent in the World, full of history and great exhibitions.

And I wanted to have a closer look at the Mona Lisa, as well as Egyptian and Syrian historical pieces mixed with Marquise de Pompadour.
